I was the event photographer for the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alz event at Urbana, IL again! I’m truly grateful to have the opportunity to be involved in this wonderful event again and to connect with some of the dedicated staffs and caregivers for AD patients.

We had a successful outreach event at the Beckman Institute Open House (BIOH) this year. As the team leader, I’d like to thank everyone who contributed their time and effort to help make this event impactful for our local community. We had a lot of young kids stopping by and doing hands-on experiments with us!

I presented my work at the Chemical Biology Area Research Conference (CBARC) at the University of Illinois. We had a wonderful time at the conference!

We attended the Inorganic and Materials Allerton Research Conference (IMAC) at Allerton Park.

I organized the fall Encouraging Tomorrow’s Chemists (ETC) outreach event. Our topic this semester is on polymers. Our volunteers demonstrated several interactive experiments for the middle school students. They were very excited for the demos!

This is my second year serving on the Beckman Connect & Engage Committee. Our mission is to bond the Beckman Institute community with various community involvements and provide resources for students/faculty who are in need of support.

I received a scholarship to attend a workshop titled Principles and Techniques for Improving Preclinical Translation in Alzheimer's Disease at The Jackson Laboratory. I am very thankful for this valuable opportunity. The workshop was informative and engaging, providing me with essential insights. It also helped me connect to a broader AD community.
